AOMEIO is a (beta) furniture brand. Its purpose is to rethink our home-office relationship. To make our homes more creative and productive, and our workspaces more comfortable and human. Created by Fernanda Tosta and Victor L. Pontes.
A line of custom furniture created from the ideas and unique identity of the Tio Antonio café in São Paulo.
The café's visual identity was the basis for the furniture design. Concern for people's experience guided the design of the pieces. And the use of CNC technology (a machine that "cuts" the furniture pieces) was inspired by the space's business model, due to its possibility of piece-by-piece customization. Four furniture models were developed: Toni Stool, Papos Table, Comuna Table, and Cafezinho Bistro.

The Modul Table was created especially for the ModulCwk coworking space, located in Goiânia, Goiás. We developed the entire concept of the table, fully customized for the unique coworking business model. The table was designed to have an electrical system accessible to the user; with a simple opening of a lid, you can access power outlets and a drawer to store small items.
The tables fit perfectly side by side. Its design was inspired by the coworking brand itself and the experience they want for their clients.
Garagem Fab Lab
GARAGEM FAB LAB was a laboratory that follows the principles of the global Fab Lab network. It was open to the general public during Open Days and offers free and paid workshops, courses, and lectures. Garagem Fab Lab was the first independent Fab Lab in Brazil and the second of the national network. Located in São Paulo, Garagem Fab Lab was created with the objective of encouraging the development of projects based on the "Do It Yourself" philosophy. In addition to sharing tools and equipment, we lived in an environment that stimulates creativity and innovation through experimentation, exchange and transdisciplinary knowledge.
Makerspaces and Laboratories
Makerspaces and laboratories are collaborative environments for creation, learning, and prototyping,
differing mainly in focus: Makerspaces are community-centric, open
spaces (like in libraries/schools) with tools for digital fabrication
(3D printers, laser cutters) for DIY/innovation, while traditional labs
are often formal, specialized settings for scientific research, though
modern university labs blend both (STEAM/Fab Labs) to foster hands-on,
problem-solving skills, blending high-tech tools with safety protocols
for broad innovation.
